Hi again! If you didn't meet me on the home page-My name is Savannah, the creator and owner of Mommy MilkMaid! I am a Registered Nurse certified in maternal and newborn nursing and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Aside from all of that official stuff, I am an obsessive dog owner. My babies are GUS the pug and WOODY the shepherd. I love warm weather in any capacity- beach is life. I truly love being a nurse. I believe it is one of the greatest careers you can have! Life has taken me a lot of different directions and if you told 18 year old me that this is where I would be some day- I would have NEVER believed you. I am incredibly happy to be here. I have loved supporting women and caregivers in the hospital setting, but I have noticed an overwhelming need for support and education outside of the hospital. That is what my goal is to do here. I have poured a lot of time, education, love, and thought into the creation of Mommy MilkMaid. Mommy MilkMaid is a place you can come for support and education as you navigate one of the most vulnerable periods of your life. Together we can make a plan to help you feel empowered about the decisions you make on this journey. As is common in life, things may not go as you plan, but Mommy MilkMaid is here to help you pick up the pieces and figure out your next steps. The newborn journey is hard, but I promise you can do this!
